Adding a printer
1. Open the app “Printer Self Service”
- You will see the printers that are currently installed. There are different statuses a printer can have.
- To add another printer to the list, click on “+ Add Printers” at the top of the window.
- After a few seconds, you will see the list of printers you are allowed to use. Select the printer(s) you would like to have available from your computer and click Apply.
The Printer Self Service App will now create the selected printer(s) and show them in the “My Printers” tab.
When the printer(s) have been added, you can use them from within your applications.
Deleting a printer
- Open the Printer Self Service app and select the printer you want to delete
- Click on Remove
This printer will now be removed from your computer.
Changing the Default printer
- Open the Printer Self Service app and select the printer you want to have as the Default
- Click on Default
This printer will now be the default printer.
Changing printer preferences
- Open the Printer Self Service app and select the printer for which you want to change the properties
- Click on Printer Preferences
- The printer’s property window will open. Change the required settings and click OK
Returning Printers to their original settings
The Printer Self Service app includes an option to return all printer configuration to their original settings. This “repair” option is helpful, when printers got deleted or printer properties were changed accidentally.
- Open the Printer Self Service app
- Click on Repair Printers in the left pane
- Click on Repair Printers.
This will wipe out the Preferences you might have set before.
Changing the Language
The Printer Self Service app is available in German, English, Spanish and French. You can change the language through the Settings pane
- Open the Printer Self Service app
- Click on Settings in the left pane
- Choose a language from the drop-down menu.
