Menus and Info
After logging in, the following menus will be available on the left side of the web console:
- Printers
Target printers, to which the Hub is to forward the print jobs
- Network
Network settings such as hostname, IP addresses, DHCP and DNS
- Pull Printing
Pull printing settings, password, printer id and last device authentication.
- Certificates
Certificate installation for the ezeep Hub’s web console.
- System
System settings, such as read-only mode, reboot, reset to factory settings, backup, firmware update, system time and logging.
On the top header, the following info will be available
- Language
- Info
- Help
- Logout
Printers
Printers on the left menu will display the printers configured on the ezeep hub.
The following functions are available in the Printers menu of the ezeep Hub’s web console:

| Status | shows the actual printer status no warnings 1 or more warnings unknown offline |
| Driver name | the name of the printer driver |
| Port | printer port / print protocol TCP/IP: Standard TCP/IP LPR: LPR/LPD USB: the ezeep Hub’s USB port |
| Printer address | the address of the network printer or a print server |
| TCP port, queue name or USB printer for Port (see above) | TCP/IP: TCP-Port (9100) LPR: Queue-Name (of LPD) USB: USB printer |
| Add printer | adds a new line |
 | removes the indicated line (and adds the printer to the list of found but hidden printers) |
| Remove all | removes all lines (and adds the printers to the list of found but hidden printers) |
| Save | saves the printer list |
| Cancel | cancels the operation |
By clicking on the status symbol a new window will appear which contains more detailed status information about the specific printer.
Note: Alternatively you can hover over the status symbol to get a short first look about the status of the printer.
Find Printers Tab
In this tab you can search for printers in the Hub’s local subnet. Supported protocols for discovery are Bonjour and mDNS.

Global SNMP Settings Tab
In this tab you can setup which protocol is used as default when contacting a printer to get status information via SNMP.
You can select:
- SNMP version 1 & 2c
- SNMP version 3
| Menu | Function |
| SNMP version 1 & 2c Community name | Default: “public” Setup the community which should be used for printer monitoring. You have to setup this community name at all printers you want to monitor. |
| SNMP version 3 User name | user name which will be used for identification at the printer |
| Authentication type | you can choose between 2 encryption algorithms • MD5 (Use only for test purposes) • SHA |
| Authentication passphrase | password which will be used for authentication at the printer |
| Privacy type | You can choose between 2 encryption algorithms: • DES • AES (Optional) |
| Privacy passphrase | password which will be used for encrypting your SNMP queries (Optional) |
| Save | saves your settings |
| Cancel | cancels the operation |
Furthermore you can enable the SNMP proxy function. This makes it possible to query the hub via SNMP and get any status information about all printers which you setup earlier.
Network
In the ezeep Hub’s web console under the menu item Network, you will find the following options:
- Identification: Functions to better identify the device in the network
- IPv4 Settings: Functions for addressing the device in the network
- IPv6 Settings: Displays the Hub’s automatically generated IPv6 address
- Proxy: Configure proxy server settings
- Hub Monitoring: Configure which version of the SNMP protocol should be used to monitor the Hub
- Remote Management: Configure hub remote management via ezeep blue .
- Cloud Connect: Connect the hub to the ezeep cloud to import the printers to the cloud.
Identification
The Identification menu in the ezeep Hub’s web console offers the following functions to better identify the device in the network:

| Location | the location information for the ThinPrint Hub |

IPV4 Settings
This web console menu offers the following functions for addressing the device in the network:

| Use DHCP | a dynamic IPv4 address is assigned automatically from a DHCP server |
| a static IPv4 address will be entered manually Note: In this case, remember to maintain your DNS. | |
Address | the ezeep Hub’s IP address or hostname |
Subnet mask | the subnet mask for the IPv4 address |
Gateway | the gateway address of the subnet |
DNS server 1 | the IPv4 address of the first-requested DNS server |
DNS server 2 | the IPv4 address of the second-requested DNS server |
DNS search domain | • Domain name • Suffix for generating the Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) – usually from the hostname and domain name |

IPv6 Settings
This web console menu displays the ezeep Hub’s automatically generated IPv6 address.
Proxy
In this menu you can configure the cloud proxy. If you want to place a proxy (server) in front of the Hub, you can enter its address information here:

Hub Monitoring
In this web console menu you can configure which version of the SNMP protocol should be used to monitor the ezeep Hub itself. But this time you don’t have to choose which protocol you want to use. You can configure both and decide later which matter suits you better.

Remote Management
Enable access to the hub to remote manage it via the ezeep blue admin portal. Enabling remote management will allow you to manage the hub from anywhere at anytime.
Cloud Connect
Connect the ezeep hub to the ezeep cloud by clicking on "Connect" and entering your ezeep blue admin credentials. Connecting the hub to the cloud will import all the printers that are configured on the ezeep hub to your admin portal.
Pull Printing
Pull printing setup is configured in this section. Enable the hub to use pull printing, select job mode and the pull printer id.
Certificates
This menu is used to upload a web certificate for the ezeep hub console.
| Menu | Function |
| Web server certificate | • Certificate for access to the web console, to avoid certificate errors in the browser (optional); this can be purchased from a trusted root certification authority or can be generated from a certificate server of your own (in the second case, the computer where the browser is running must have a certificate installed on it, with which the web server certificate can be checked, e.g. its root certificate). • certificate name must match ezeep Hub’s hostname, FQDN or IPv4 address • Afterwards, perform a ezeep hub reboot. |
System
In the ezeep Hub’s web console under the menu item "System", you will find the following options:
- Security: Changing the Administrator password or hide the Hub from the Finder
- Reboot and Reset: Reboot the operating system or delete all data and reset the ezeep Hub to its factory default settings
- Backup and Restore: Run a data backup or restore previously backed up data onto the ezeep Hub
- Firmware Update: Update the ezeep Hub’s firmware to a new version
- System Time: View the system time, assign the workstation’s system time, or specify a time server
- Logging: Select which events are to be logged and how you can read the logs
Security
This menu is used for changing the Administrator password and to hide the ezeep Hub from the Finder.

| Make ezeep Hub invisible for the ThinPrint Hub Finder | At the end of five minutes after a system reboot the ezeep Hub will disappear from the Hub Finder. |

Reboot and Reset
This menu is used to reboot the operating system or to delete all data and reset the ezeep Hub to its factory default settings.

| Reboot | initiate a system reboot • Suggestion: Save the log data in a log file beforehand because they will be deleted by a system reboot. |
| Factory Reset | initiates a system reset to its factory default settings |
| Reboot | execute the system reboot |
| Cancel | cancels the reboot |
| Reset | resets the ezeep Hub to its factory default settings • Here, the software remains unchanged – particularly the current versions of firmware and frontend. But all settings will be reset to their defaults – e. g. hostname and password. • Suggestion: Backup your data beforehand |

Backup and Restore
This menu is used to run a data backup or to restore previously backed up data onto the ezeep Hub.

| Restore | • restores a .json type backup • As a precaution, perform Backup before restoring. |
| Backup | saves the settings in the file Backup.json; if this file already exists, a new file name will be generated, e. g. Backup (1).json. |
Firmware Update
This menu is used to update the ezeep Hub’s firmware to a new version. See also Downloading and installing a firmware update.
Menu | Function |
Update Firmware | initiates a firmware update while loading the firmware from the local computer to the Hub |
Download Firmware | initiates a firmware update while loading the firmware to the Hub from internet |
Open | select the .tgz firmware update file (the numbers in the file name indicates both the new and the old version) |
Download | download the firmware from ezeep Admin Portal under "Apps & Downloads" |
Confirm | starts the firmware update |
Cancel | cancels the firmware update |
Note! Perform a precautionary backup beforehand using the Backup option or with the PowerShell cmdlet Export-TPHubBackup.
System Time
As system time the ezeep Hub uses UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). In this menu you can
- view the system time on the Hub
- assign the workstation’s system time to the Hub
- specify a time server to automatically provide the system time
- The ezeep Hub connects to a time server automatically if it has access to the internet. If not, you should specify a company-internal one using ADDITIONAL TIME SERVER.
