Troubleshooting Printing Issues in Windows Environment

If you're having issues printing while using Windows environment and you have any of the following components - Windows Print App, ezeep Connector, or Remote Desktop Agent for Windows - it may be essential to update them.


This article aims to provide you with straightforward instructions on how to update these components to ensure a smooth and secure printing experience, especially in light of ezeep Blue's recent partnership with Cloudflare to enhance service security.


Checking for Outdated Components:

Before diving into the update process, it's crucial to verify whether your installed components are outdated. Here's how you can check:

  1. On your local PC, navigate to the "Control Panel."
  2. Under "Programs and Features," locate the specific application you wish to check and view its installed version.
  3. Compare the installed version on your PC with the latest version available on ezeep Blue:

    * If any of these apps are outdated, follow the steps in the applicable cases. 


Updating ezeep Connector for Print Server:

  1. Log in to the ezeep Blue Portal.
  2. On the left side of the portal, click on "Apps & Downloads."
  3. Locate and click the download arrow next to "The ezeep Connector." This will download the latest software version to your "Downloads" folder.
  4. Find the downloaded ezeep executable in your "Downloads" folder.
  5. Right-click on the executable and select "Run as Administrator."
  6. Follow the installation prompts.
  7. During the installation process, you'll encounter a "Upgrade" button; click on it.
  8. Continue by selecting the default settings for subsequent prompts.
  9. Once the installation is nearly finished, click on "Finish."

Updating ezeep Desktop App for Windows:

  1. Begin by logging into the ezeep Blue Portal.
  2. On the left side of the portal, locate and click on "Apps & Downloads."
  3. Under "Print App for Desktops," find and click on the download arrow next to "Microsoft Windows." This will initiate the download of the latest software version to your computer's "Downloads" folder.
  4. Locate the downloaded ezeep Print App executable in your "Downloads" folder.
  5. Right-click on the executable and select "Run as Administrator."
  6. Click "Upgrade"
  7.  Select all the defaults at the next prompts.
  8. To complete the installation, click on "Finish."

Updating ezeep Remote Desktop Agent for Windows:

  1. Access the ezeep Blue Portal by logging in.
  2. On the left side of the portal, click on "Apps & Downloads."
  3. Locate and click the download arrow corresponding to your preferred operating system under "Remote Desktop Agent." This will download the latest software version to your "Downloads" folder.
  4. Find the downloaded ezeep Remote Desktop Agent executable in your "Downloads" folder.
  5. Right-click on the executable and select "Run as Administrator."
  6. Follow the installation prompts.
  7. During the installation process, you'll encounter an "Upgrade" button; click on it.
  8. Continue by selecting the default settings for subsequent prompts.
  9. Once the installation is nearly finished, click on "Finish."

Important: Reboot Your Computer


After “Updating” all ezeep components for Windows, a system reboot is required.
