The ezeep App for Lexmark can be embedded into Lexmark printers so that the users can release their print jobs using RFID authentication when using the Pull Printing feature. The ezeep Client for Lexmark is also capable of tracking print job information of local copy jobs processed by the device.
Requirements:
An active ezeep Blue Business or Enterprise subscription with pull printing feature enabled
A supported Lexmark printer (see below for list of supported models)
For pull printing via RFID a scanner is needed. This supplied with the printer, if not contact the printer manufacturer.
Pre-requisites
Set up for Pull Printing with Card authentification, as described in the KB articles below:
2. Write down the Pull Printer’s printer Id and Pull Printing Password from the ezeep Admin portal. You’ll need them in the next steps.

Installing ezeep Client for Lexmark Printers
1. Download the installation bundle of the ezeep Client from the ezeep Admin portal "My Downloads"
2. On the printer’s (e.g. Lexmark CX725) web interface, navigate to “Apps”, click on “Install an app”, followed by the “browse” button, and select the file. Click on "Install".
Configure ezeep Client for Lexmark Printers
1. Find the newly installed ezeep Client in the list of installed apps and open its configuration
2. Enter the Pull Printer’s ID and Pull Printing password and click "Apply".
Ready to Print!
1. Select the ezeep Client’s Pull Printing app on the touchpad of your Lexmark device
2. Swipe your card or token to authenticate (scanner purchased separately, contact the printer manufacturer).
3. Select the document from the list of jobs and select the "print" icon, for the job to print.
Configure to track local copies:
1. Install and configure the ezeep client for lexmark as described above.
2. Go to the ezeep client’s configuration section, on the Lexmark device’s web console and make sure that tracking is enabled:
3. In the device’s web console navigate to “Settings → Security → Login Methods → Public → Manage Permissions”
-In the section “Access Controls” expand the “Function Access” listing
-Remove the check mark at “Copy Function” and “Copy Color Printing” so that unauthenticated user are not allowed to do local copies anymore
-Save changes
4. Navigate back to “Settings → Security” and scroll to the “Additional Login Methods” section
-Change the “Default Control Panel Login Method” and set it to “Pull Printing Authentication”
-Save changes
5. Back at the “Additional Login Methods” section
-Choose manage permissions for the “Pull Printing Authentication”
-On the upcoming page, click “All Users” (click on the text label!!!)
-Again, expand the “Function Access” listing and enable the function you disabled previously, in the public function access permissions
-Save Changes
Ready to track your copies!
1. Press the Copy function icon.
2. Authenticate with your ezeep credentials.
3. Every page/sheet copied will be tracked. You can access the ezeep report via the ezeep admin portal.
